Powel buys Delta Energy Solution AG
16.10.13INTPOW member Powel has announced that it has bought the Swiss company Delta Energy AG. The company is based in Basel and the acquisition will strengthen Powel's market position in Europe.
Delta Energy Solution (Delta) is a supplier of software and related services to the energy industry. The acquisition will enable both companies to further develop industry-leading software solutions, and strengthens Powel’s commercial position in key established European markets.

The transaction achieves our stated strategic objective of expanding and diversifying our business into international markets,” says Bård Benum, CEO of Powel AS.
Delta will continue to operate its software and solution development under the ownership of Powel. The Basel location will also become the main office for Powel in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), and will be staffed to serve new and existing Powel customers.
