Call for abstracts: AFRICA 2017

Major multipurpose water resources schemes, including many large regional hydro projects, are moving ahead in Africa at an unprecedented rate. A status update, potential and development opportunities, as well as technical, environmental and financial challenges, covering all regions of the African continent, will be the focus of the presentations and discussions at AFRICA 2017

If you would like to present a paper in one of the technical sessions, please submit an abstract of around 500 words, outlining the scope and suggested session topic.

Please mail, fax or email abstracts (in Word format, not PDF) to the address below. Please also enclose a short CV of the author(s) and full contact details of the proposed presenter, and confirm that if the paper is accepted, the author/co-author would attend to make the presentation. In the case of any project to be described, please mention its current status or date of completion. If the abstract is sent by email, please incorporate the author’s name in the file name.
Abstracts will be reviewed by our International Steering Committee. Please submit abstracts by 31 May 2016.
If you would like to contribute to a panel discussion, you should also use this form to indicate your area of interest, and submit your proposal by 31 May.
NB: Some panellists and keynote speakers will be invited, so places will be limited for submitted contributions.
Poster presentations will also be considered.
Please note: abstracts should only be submitted if the author would be able to attend the conference (or send a representative). Please obtain any necessary clearance, and check your availability to attend, before submitting the abstract. Reduced attendance fees will be offered to speakers. These fees will include meals throughout the conference, social events, documents, etc.
