INTPOW, together with Greater Stavanger and Export Credit Norway launched a new report on the opportunities for Norway in offshore wind. The report was commissioned from Make Consulting, a Danish consulting firm spesialising in renewable energy. The event was held at Export Credit Norway's offices in Oslo.
We started out with a presentation of the report by Jon Dugstad, director at INTPOW. Aftterwards there was a highly interesting panel discussion, with State Secretary from the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, Kjell-Børge Freiberg, Heikki Holmås (SV) from The Standing Committee on Energy and the Environment, Even Larsen from Fred. Olsen Windcarrier and John Olav Tande from Sintef/Nowitech. The discussions centred around the need for political to support offshore wind in Norway, and different ways that the government and parliament can do so. Everyone agreed that we need to further build the Norwegian supply chain.
