  • Hydropower Competence Map - Updated Edition

    (24.10.12) A new edition of the ?Hydropower Norway ? a Competence Map? has just been issued. The purpose of this Competence Map is to assist hydropower developers, owners and operators in identifying INTPOW partners that deliver services, technology and products related to the entire hydropower value chain. This is achieved by linking major elements of the hydropower value chain with relevant companies in a competence matrix. The Competence Map will be made available at all relevant INTPOW events. Let us know if you want a pile for distribution.

  • INTPOW wins top press prize at ONS 2012

    (31.08.12) INTPOW won the ONS 2012 Roger Vielvoye Memorial Award on Thursday, August 30, 2012. Managing Director Geir Elsebutangen accepted the award from Darius Snieckus, technology editor of Recharge. The Vielvoye committee was impressed by INTPOW's spearheading this year of two high-level seminars: one looking at development of the offshore wind power sector based on technology transfer from Norway's long-standing oil and gas industry - the other at the financing of future renewable energy projects," said Snieckus. First resented in 1994, the Roger Vielvoye memorial Award commemorates a leading energy sector journalist, and was instituted by his colleagues in the press. Photo: ONS

  • INTPOW partner Innotech Solar starts up major solar project in Nauen

    (25.05.12) Innotech Solar delivers over 13,000 solar modules to the solar park in Nauen near Berlin, Germany. With an annual electricity production of 3.1 million KWh, it will supply energy to approx. 800 households.

  • INTPOW partner Havgul har fått avklaring på Siragrunnen

    (24.04.12) Siragrunnen Havpark AS har mottatt en forhåndsuttalelse fra Oljeskattekontoret Ved å lease det planlagte vindkraftverket på Siragrunnen utenfor Sokndal og Flekkefjord, kan oljeselskapene enkelt forklart trekke av 78 prosent på skatten. - Da vil strøm fra Siragrunnen bare koste 24 øre kilowatt-timen, forklarer Dirdal. Det er både billigere og renere enn gasskraftverk til havs.

    (29.03.12) The report provides an analysis of the market for upgrading and refurbishment of hydropower in Europe as of 2012. It is a desktop analysis which through a systematic approach provides an insight into key aspects related to the market for upgrading and refurbishment of hydropower. The report includes an analysis of the potential, market structure, hydropower ownership, key players, installed turbine types and in part licensing in thirteen European countries. In addition, the key findings for all the countries are summarized and presented together. There are several countries with an aging installed capacity which may provide interesting market opportunities for Norwegian players.

    (23.03.12) UK?s Crown Estate, the UK offshore wind regulator, is again, in cooperation with regional industrial development organisations, organising offshore wind supply chain events throughout the UK. The events are in general very crowded and excellent arenas to meet local and regional UK businesses with strategies in offshore wind.   • INTPOW partner, Innotech Solar appoints former Suntech executive David Hogg to CEO role

    (23.03.12) Innotech Solar (ITS), INTPOW partner since 2009, and CEO Thor-Christian Tuv have decided to part ways after identifying differing opinions on the company?s future growth and expansion. The company?s board is now focusing on creating a new long-term growth strategy to meet the dynamic challenges of the photovoltaic industry. The ITS board views the introduction of new skills and expertise as an important priority, and has appointed David Hogg to the role of CEO at Innotech Solar with immediate effect.  
     

  • Large-Scale Solar Project commissioned in Spain

    (08.03.12) INTPOW partner, Innotech Solar, commissioned one of Spain?s largest solar power stations last Friday. The installation ? which has an output of 4.3 megawatt peak (MWp) ?is constructed on several greenhouses, where trees are being cultivated for a local forestation project in an area measuring 62,000 m². The solar power station will produce 6 MWh of energy per year, enabling it to supply approximately 2,500 households.
     

  • Scatec Solar AS to secure further cash

    (19.01.12) The INTPOW partner, Scatec Solar AS, is securing further cash through an agreed the sale of a 9MW portfolio of operating solar PV plants in Italy to an investment fund managed by London-based Impax Asset Management Ltd.
     

  • Baze Technology released the most complete Wind Farm Management System

    (19.01.12) Baze Technology proudly presented the new 5.0 version of BazeField®, the most complete Wind Farm Management System in the marked. The system is used by clients as Scira Offshore Energy Ltd and Arise Wind power among others. The system will be used on more than 1 GW installed wind power capacity within 2012. In UK the system are distributed by our partner Natural Power under the brand WindManager?.
     

  • Havgul tenker blågult

    (12.01.12) Vår partner, Havgul Clean Energy AS har kjøpt 75 prosent av det svenske utviklingsselskapet, Wästgöta Wind AB, og kommer nærmere lokalmarkedet over kjølen. Wästgöta Wind AB er lokalisert i Grästorp like syd for Vänern. Gründerne bak Wästgöta fortsetter i selskapet, og Bernard Emanuelsson fortsetter som selskapets daglige leder. Selskapet har en spennende prosjektportefølje som består av både landbasert og offshore prosjekt lokalisert i Syd-Sverige.

    (09.01.12) Last week, REC announced that the company will make further cuts to its solar wafer production in Norway, temporarily halting 50% of its capacity at the Glomfjord monocrystalline wafer plant during the first quarter of 2012.
     

  • Aibel utvider for vind

    (09.01.12) Aibel øker staben til 150, sier sjef for Aibels ingeniøravdeling i Haugesund, Tove Lise Storrø. I tillegg til nylig påstartede Dolwin 2, en leveranse til havområdet utenfor Helgoland i Tyskland, regner Aibels toppsjef i Haugesund, Bjørn Tollefsen, med at Aibel har gode sjanser til å vinna kontrakten også for Dolwin 3.

    (09.01.12) Aibel har snart 2000 tilsette i Haugesund. Fredag tok selskapet i bruk nytt kontorbygg med rom for 300 ingeniørar. 100 av desse skal jobba med vindkraft.
     

  • Meet Chinese NTNU-students who are interested in working with Norwegian companies

    (03.01.12) NTNU Alumni, NTNU Chinese Student Union and NorAlumni will host a seminar in cooperation with Innovation Norway, Research Council of Norway and Sør-Trøndelag County Authority, for dialogue and networking about possible opportunities. The seminar will be held in English.
