The Mont Coffee project, with Norplan as owners engineers are progressing as planned. The power plant will deliver its first electricity to the grid in December 2015 –being fully commissioned in mid 2016.

The project is set up by the Government of Liberia and some of its funding partners - the Government of Norway, the European Investment Bank or EIB, and the Government of Germany through the KfW Development Bank. The power plant was totally destroyed during the civil war in the 1990s but will, when completed be supplying the capital Monrovia with much needed electricity.
