Contract for Wind Installation Vessel “Brave Tern”
02.03.11A subsidiary of Fred. Olsen Windcarrier AS, which is indirectly owned 50/50 by Bonheur ASA and Ganger Rolf ASA, has on certain subjects entered into a contract for the specialized transport and installation vessel for offshore wind turbines “Brave Tern” Vestas Offshore Germany Gmbh .

At last, the first contracts for the utilization of the vessels from Fred. Olsen gives us an indication that the much voiced demand for new vessels is coming true. At the same time, it is of concern that the contract period is from May 2013 and the vessel is ready as of 2nd quarter 2012. This little piece of news might indicate that the market is even further down the road than previously thought.
