Multiconsult AS is a leading Consulting and Design Engineering firm and operates throughout Norway and abroad.
It is one of the two owners of NORPLAN AS. Multiconsult AS operates in six business areas: Building and Property, Industry, Oil & Gas, Transportation and Infrastructure, Energy, and Environmental and Natural Resources.
Multiconsult AS provides expertise in all phases of planning, design and construction of renewable energy, energy transmission and energy distribution projects. We pride ourselves on our renewable energy expertise – and will continue to develop clean renewable energy in a sustainable manner by combining our technical, economic, environmental and social expertise.
We have nearly 40 years experience with renewable energy projects in developing countries, particularly in East-Africa, South-East Asia and Central-Eastern Europe. To date, we have carried out over 600 separate assignments in nearly 100 countries.
Recent international energy projects includes:
- Hydropower Pre-Feasibility and Reconnaissance studies in Bhutan
NORPLAN on behalf of Multiconsult AS is carrying out pre-feasibility studies of the Khomachhu and Rotpashong hydropower projects in eastern Bhutan, and reconnaissance studies of 15 other sites with hydropower potential throughout Bhutan.
- Submarine Cable between Pemba Island and Mainland Tanzania
NORPLAN on behalf of Multiconsult AS is the main consultant for a new sea cable to Pemba Island off the coast of Tanzania. Services include preparation of feasibility study, environmental and social impact assessment, tender documents, design and contract documents, and project supervision.
- Makambako Wind Farm, Tanzania
NORPLAN on behalf of Multiconsult AS participates in the feasibility study of a wind farm in Makambako, central Tanzania.
- Devoll Hydropower plant, Albania
Multiconsult is involved with Statkraft’s project in Albania as a sub consultant with responsibility for several services.
- Neelum Jhelum, Pakistan
Norplan on the behalf of Multiconsult AS is in a JV with Montgomery Watson Hartza and three Pakistani companies as the Client’s Engineer during the construction phase of a 1000 MW HPP.
